  • Please read before your first post - Welcome note from the Expression Blend team

Unni Ravindranathan MSFT Monday, March 24, 2008 11:02 PM

The Expression Blend team would like to welcome you to this forum, and we look forward to helping you out to the best of our abilities. Please be assured that we are on the constant lookout for suggestions on how to improve our product (and the platforms – WPF, Silverlight, etc.) – we appreciate any and all feedback.

In order to help address your issues faster, we ask the following of you:

    a) Please be very clear about the kind of application that you are trying to build – WPF, Silverlight 1, Silverlight 2, etc. There are subtle differences in how you would approach the same problem on different platforms, and knowing this upfront is useful.

    b) Please supply us with the relevant XAML snippet where appropriate. Often, a small snippet of XAML speaks more than a 1000 wordsJ.

    c) Unfortunately, there is no provision to add an attachment to a posting on this forum. If an attachment is required to help illustrate your problem (and frankly, having a project that helps reproduce your issue helps us look at the same issue that you are facing), please provide a link to it. A good (and free) place for posting files is http://skydrive.live.com

    d) Please do mark answers that solve your problems, since they would be of great assistance to others who ask the same question.

    Thanks again!
    The Expression Blend team

  • ANNOUNCING .toolbox, a free Expression Blend and Silverlight online training program

    VivianCMicrosoft EmployeeMonday, March 22, 2010 4:52 PM

.toolbox is an online structured curriculum-based program that features two core learning tracks with materials that increase in difficulty to build your knowledge and understanding of Expression Blend and Silverlight. In Design Scenarios, learn to create dynamically-rich Silverlight applications using Expression Studio. In Design Principles, learn fundamental UX concepts (e.g., choosing the right colors) along with tips in how to apply them. Earn badges upon successful completion of the evaluations found at the end of each level. Get started today at www.microsoft.com/design/toolbox.
