    I use Expression Media (and IVMP before it) to export HTML galleries, through "Make HTML Gallery". Currently using version 1.0.8076.0. Recently I moved EM1 from my old Mac G4 'Graphite' (running OS X 10.4.11) to a new Mac Pro (running OS X 10.5.7). I find the web images from the new Mac are considerably oversharpened compared to the old images, even though they are produced by the same version of EM.

    An example of 'before and after' is shown at http://www.johnsandell.co.uk/expression/

    Is this a known issue, and (more importantly) does anyone know a fix?

    OK, to answer my own question, I've downloaded the EM2 trial and the problem goes away. Great!! However, I've now purchased the EM2 upgrade through the Microsoft Store UK, and have no idea how to download it. I get a "Download Manager" window and nothing else. I suspect this is a Windows thing, whereas I'm a Mac user. I've emailed MSStore.UK(at)msdirectservices.com – if I don't get an answer I'll have to post again here.

    Hi John,

    If you have your key, you can just use the key you got from the online store, and plug it into the trial version. There is no difference between the trial and purchased downloads.

    Many thanks. I've only just come back here and seen your message, so my apologies for the late reply. 

    In fact the upgrade that I purchased turned out to be just the Windows version (there's no option to specify Mac during purchase), so I called the UK Store (in Germany) where after much consultation the solution was to cancel the order and re-order the shipped version. After 12 days this has still not arrived (Order Status shows as "Partially Shipped"!) but I do have the License number. Hopefully all is now OK. I wish they'd told me what you told me! (And actually the website should handle this better).
