Modify XML Data Templates with Blend 3 Preview for Contact List
- Greetings,
I'm attempting to create a contact list in Microsoft Expression Blend 3 Preview of a Silverlight 3 Navigation project that has four retangles consiting of an image control and a few text block controls. I made an XML file to store the data of the decription, image, etc... of a person in each retangle I have. I would like some support on having these Silverlight 3 controls have only one record or item per retangle, for example shown below.
Image | Name | Title | Phone Number | Description
Image | Name | Title | Phone Number | Description
Image | Name | Title | Phone Number | Description
Image | Name | Title | Phone Number | Description
I have the Blend 3 to add properties with it's data panel by using sample data. I've been messing with Blend to try figure how to successfully have one record per rectangle.
I've been searching for tutorials on how to do so, but I can't seem to find any. Does anyone have a solution to my problem. If so, it'll greatly appreciated.

Will a control like the DataGrid help?

Alternatively, you can use use a ListBox, and change the DataTemplate to look the way you want for each item (the rectangle can be the backgroun of the DataTemplate, thereby giving you only rectangle per item).
