- Hi Van.. Unfortunatley I had no answer from the Expression help team, so I have had to format my hard drive and totally reinstall my operating system XP and start again. Once I had installed XP and all updates the first program I installed was Studio 2 and the whole expression suite. I then reinstalled all my other programs. Not the best solution, but everything now works perfectly.

- Hello Adytay,
What OS are you running?
Could you try and run setup.exe from the command prompt (as an admisistrator if on Vista)
>setup.exe -l*V so that the log that you send us would be the verbose log.
Let setup complete. From the command prompt:
type cd %temp%
Press enter
dir xsetup_*.log
press enter
Copy the contents of the latest file you find by following the above steps.
Thanks,
Anupama Tuli Hello Anupama
Thanks for the response. I am using XP Home Edition, Version 2002 with Service Pack 3. My PC has a Intel Core2 Quad, Q6600 @ 2.4GHz with 2GB of Ram
As suggested I ran the following from the Command Prompt j:setup.exe -l*V, This starts the installation of Expression Studio 2. However it stops after a few seconds with the following screen
Installation failed - MsiFeatureRequestedState=Local while featureRequestedStateRet=AbsentI then typed From the command prompt: %temp% - which opened a temp file window. Within this file where a number of Xsetup_* folders unfortunatley none of which contained any files. There are a number of Text Files in the main temp directory, one for each attempted installation, but these are to big to copy & paste into this responce window.
I would really appreciate your assistance further.- Hello Adytay,
You could send us the log at exfordis@microsoft.com
Thanks,
-Anupama Tuli

- Bummer, thankx alot for responding. I think I will stick with frontpage for now.
Van Deangelo, and anyone else (including Microsoft staff!):
I would do the same, stick to Frontpage - except that I don't have Frontpage on my PC anymore.
Do you, or does anyone, know of any place to get good old Frontpage? -- I could do with just a trial version, I only need it to readjust some HTML files I created with it back when Internet Explorer 6.0 was the latest IE version.
Since Microsoft switched to Internet Explorer 7.0 and above, the DHTML in my Frontpage-created files doesn't work at all -- therefore one of my web sites is since then invisible to the IE browser.
It seems one can't download Frontpage anymore from Microsoft.com
Thank you in advance for any help

Ebay has lots of them for sale
