In design 2, there is a very stupid bug, where if you have a shape covering the whole canvas with a stroke, then when exporting the image exported is larger than the one specified. This has to be fixed by decreasing the shape size, and becomes a very lengthy process, becuase you have to keep testing if its exported correctly. Also one really useful tool that design 3 could have is the magic wand, I cannot live without it, and it requires me to have other applications to be used, which is very annoying, having to use multiple applications for a single image.

Magic wand, very useful. I would like to see a .GIF animation creator since I've had people like my work and then say stuff like "That's really good, but could you make her blink?" and I can't so I end up loosing the person, and that's another week of my life I can't get back.

    Magic wand?
    Combined bitmap-vector applications?
    With animated GIF functionality?

Well, ... that sounds just like Adobe Fireworks to me.

ED can be used to create stills that are exported then glued together to make an animated gif.

It is doable if possibly time consuming when compared to fireworks.

Most of these were created using some of ED's forebears.

    Here you are Edward M.

It is an old (as in quite dated) walkthrough and the principles should be the same in ED.

By design the walkthrough is aimed at low cost so involves applications such as IrfanView and The Gimp.

(The Gimp seems to have progressed a couple of versions)

really lazy link (the URL is quite long really)

The link downloads a pdf file.
