Yeah, perhaps one of the forum gods will happen upon this thread and go in and edit out all but the most recent, or if there is a switch, set the the flag to eliminate the "Edited... " annotations for sticky posts. You would think there would be some controls for the stickies other than "Set as sticky," wouldn't you? ;-)
Actually, I've never understood why it is necessary to put an "edited" annotation on posts anyway. It serves no purpose whatsoever than I can discern. Most edits are to correct typos or to add additional information, and I don't really see what purpose noting the time or source of the edit serves, especially the latter, since only the poster or a moderator can edit his own post. Maybe note it if a moderator edits, but why do so when the poster edits?
OTOH, as tired as we get of complaining about the shortcomings of this forum, I have to admit that I've recently found one even worse. Check out
http://artisteerhelp.com/viewforum.php?f=5 and try to locate the actual on-topic posts amongst all the SPAM for meds, ink and toner, etc. Sheesh! They must have no protection or moderation whatsoever going on there...
cheers,
scott
Plural's don't have apostrophe's. It seem's sometime's that any word's ending in "s" get a gratuitous apostrophe. Apostrophe's are used to indicate possessive's and elision's (contraction's or abbreviation's).
