Answer"Move to new catalog" - hierarchical keywords missing

I have EM2 (B2096) on Mac OS X 10.6.1. I selected a bunch of photos that are tagged with hierarchical keywords, and called "View => Move to new catalog". In the new catalog, all annotations where present, except for hierarchical keywords. Instead, the hierarchical keywords were transferred as regular keywords only-

Is this expected, or a known defect, or am I doing s.th. wrong?

    Hi Rainer,

To be honest, I don't really know. There is an option to export hierarchical keywords when you sync the files. Then if you import the files through File --> Import to a new catalog, it brings them in.

On the other hand, Hierarchical keywords are catalog specific, so it could be that because it's a new catalog, they don't come across.

I think it's a bug, though, because Hierarchical keywords are actually a specialized type of catalog set. When you View-->Move to new catalog, the other catalog sets do come through. So I'll file a bug and let the developer people hash out whether it's really a bug or not.

    Hello,
There is an workaround to get the hierachical keywords inported into a new catalog:

1st: Export the annotations to the origanal files (Select all files en Choose in Menu Actions/Sync annotations/Export annotations to originals files)
2st: Make an new catalog by hand (Choose for option New Catalog in Menu File)
3st: Import the folder(s) with the files from step 1

    Succes
