    Any possible answer please ?

The trial is a few days close the the end and I have to continue working on my project but as I said,
DigitalRiver doesn't sell the upgrade digitaly, Microsoft Store is available in 12 countries except Canada
FutureShop, BestBuy, and any other stores around here doesn't have it.

What can I do to upgrade my Expression Studio 2 ?
Any help would be apreciated.  I'm asking in forums and everywhere since 3 weeks now,  I'm a bit tired and I want to upgrade my product and I never get any answer
    anywhere.

make that at least 2 of us as i am in exactly the same situation. u would assume that there is some form of forum monitoring by the developers of this product so as to keep up to pending issues.  Beyond me
    thank u

Well, I'm not turning off my computer and it seems to work.  Blend 3 is still running and I'm supose to be out of the trial.
I think,  Anyway I'll try.  I just hope I will not have to RESTART for a Microsoft Update :)

Meanwhile,  hurry Expression Guys, we need our product upgraded ASAP.

Same problem here and deadline looming. Also contacted cust service at digital river and awaiting a response. Good luck leaving your computer running. I'm doing the same and fingers crossed that the crash I experienced a few weeks ago doesn't happen again.

when i looked back at my past attempts to purchase studio 2 i had the same issues..i was eventually successful. Now with Studio 3 we r suffering the same senario.  Obviously we all think this product is is pretty good or we would not be here.. i have a hard time understanding that microsoft in its creation and updates of this product cannot seem to find a way to improve the back end of their marketing efforts ie access to distribution.  i also find it extreamly perplexing, based on current comment that no one within the system has offered an explanation.  Just some thoughts.  thank u

To help the cause, I just sent a third support case to Digital River to ask what is going on and why we're unable to get answer about why the product isn't available.  So just hope they'll give an answer.  Until now,  my Last trial day was today and I'm still in Blend 3.  I cross my fingers too for my system to stay stand still until we can upgrade. As soon as Blend 3 closes, I'M DOOMED. I will have to wait to continue my nice work on a great project I'm working on.

At least, give us an extension of the trial so we can continue working on our development while waiting for Expression Studio 3 to be available in Canada.

    GearWorld,

You are coming up with the same roadblocks I keep running into.

They seem to be working on the problem, as at first, when I clicked on the purchase product link from within Blend, I got a blank screen. Now, I am being directed to the correct page, but clicking the upgrade button still give me a empty shopping cart.

This is very poor customer service from Microsoft on behave of Canadians, like you say, so many other countires are listed, Microsoft seems to bundle Canada together with the USA and yet, we are blocked from purchasing via US outlets such as Amazon, and to make matters worse! Amazon .ca does not even have Expression 3 products available for purchase on their site!

Come on Micorsoft, help us out here!

    store.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. Our online store
is not currently configured to sell the product that you wish to
    purchase."

    Booo... :(

Did you reply back to Digital River that the link they sent in face does not have studio 3 upgrade in that list?

Yes.  Here's the answer they provided at my last attempt :

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Expression Visual Studio online store.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  Here at the online store we are not able to recomend products or purchase paths.  If you are wondering about something that you do not see on the website we recimend that you contact Microsoft pre-sales directly for assistance.

Please contact our pre-sales department at 1-800-642-7676.

for those of u that r interested.  i made an effort to determine why we cannot get Studio 3 in Canada yet. i started off phoning pre-sales department at 1-800-642-7676 which sent me to another department and eventually to Canadian sales etc. After exactly 11 calls or disconnects i communicated with a knowledgeable person at 1-800-426-9400 Canadian commercial sales. He indicated that Studio 3 will be available for general distribution ie Best Buy, Future Shop etc on October 19, 2009. i asked about extending trial versions. he indicated that he would check that out and email me within the next 48 hours. i have also asked him to see if someone could post something on this forum to keep us better informed
    THANK YOU

Doesn't make sense why they can't just make a download version available now. Anyways I hope they download upgrade will at least be available on October 19.

THIS IS THE EMAIL THAT I JUST RECIEVED ADDRESSING TRIAL EXTENSIONS. MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE WOULD LIKE TO MAKE CONTACT WITH THE # BELOW WHICH DOES WORK. THANK U

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Sales Information yesterday.

Per our discussion, I've researched the possibility of extending the trial edition of Expression Studio 3 until the product is available to purchase in Canada.  At this time I was unable to find any way to extend the trial beyond the listed timeframe.

    Hi Rob,

Sorry for not getting back to you with a reply any sooner, I've been away on holidays... :)

Yes, I got the software within the week, I opted for Priority shipping, but I would have gotten it even quicker had they not run out of stock and it took them a couple of days extra before they where able to complete my order. Other then that, they're service was impeccable.

I purchased the expression studio upgrade, as I had bought into version 1. However, now their is also a bundle called Expression Web 3.
Here is the links for that product, which is much less expensive then the full blown Expression Studio Suite.

Upgrade can be found here: https://www.softwaremedia.com/product/7769.html

    Full version here: https://www.softwaremedia.com/product/7768.html

    Hope this helps.

This is a Microsoft product.  What do you expect?  Microsoft want £199.00 for a technical-support call on this.  And my Vista Update has not worked for five months; nor has this little man — Piyush Kumar of UK Technical support — ever even acknowledged my emails.

Quoting from one of PK’s employees' emails:
“We pride ourselves at Microsoft on delivering an excellent service and we trust that you are totally satisfied with the service you have received. If you have any feedback about my work or your support experience, please send your comments and suggestions to my manager and the UK Management team by e-mailing v-2piyku@mssupport.microsoft.com?subject=Attention_of_Piyush_Kumar

Will I be rushing to buy W7?
No; but Linux is good and stable.  And its developers do give a damn.

mailto:v-2piyku@mssupport.microsoft.com?subject=Attention_of_Piyush_Kumar  (or just try whistling; either is as effective).

We ordered it from that website and it was smooth sailing! My dear friend was very very pleased! (If anyone is thinking of buying this on eBay be VERY carfull there are a few scams, people selling the "student" version)
