Disabling Gpu settings

Hi I have sucessfully used Expression Encoder for a year or more. I recently purchased the Pro version with codecs and now I am unable to encode any videos at all - the process fails with error 0x813A0002.
The settings.dat file states "Error Parsing XML: Cannot find element GpuSettings in..."
My sony notebook is equiped with a GForce GT330m Cuba however the driver version is too old to support the encoder and Sony have not released a later version. The enable GPU based H.264 encoding is not selected in the options menu.
Any help would be welcomed.

As explained in the "GPU Encoding" white papers, it is highly recommended to get the drivers directly from NVidia or Intel respectively.- Proposed As Answer by Eric JuteauMicrosoft Employee, Moderator Sunday, February 12, 2012 12:15 AM
