I think there is no dispute that as of now Flash owns the market for web video and animated banner ads, but Silverlight is fairly new and it will be very interesting to see if Microsoft will be able to penetrate this market going forward. Netflix was a big win for Microsoft, but Silverlight needs more wins to gain momentum.

On the other hand, Crackle which is Sony Pictures' entry into web video, is a big win for Adobe's Flash.

If you know of other any major web site that has adopted Silverlight, please post it.

    Thanks,
    Vince

    Hi Vince.
I am using silverlight on netflix. It works great once I get it running. I do however run into the following problem:
The only way I've found to get past the 'Install Now' Silverlight screen  is to remove the previous installation of silverlight from my laptop. This happens every time I load a video. The CSR at netflix says it is a Microsoft problem. Any suggestions?
