QuestionLive Encoding Audio Issue

I am testing out Expression Encoder 2 SP1 Live Encoding and ran into audio problems, where the audio breaks up a little and sounds like a chipmonk.

I am using a Canon GL2 with a firewire connection to a SIIG Firewire 800 3-Port CardBus on a Dell Lattitude D620 which pushes the live stream to a 2003 Windows Media Server.  The audio on the Live Encoder was set up to use the default audio profile for Medium Good, but then I set up to use 48kbps bitrate, 44kHz sample bitrate, Channel Mono to see if the breakup and chipmonk sound would go away.

Any help on resolving this would be greatly appreciated.  I am also utilizing Silverlight for the client.

    Thanks

Here's something interesting.  I tested a live encoding session using Expression 3 (the application) using two different hardware devices and I don't get audio with either one.  It appears that there's a problem with  EE3 and live encoding with hardware devices.  One device is a TV tuner card and the other is a Dazzle firewire device seen by the system as a Microsoft VCR device.
