QuestionLocked Clipped Paths cannot be unlocked...

    If you use the Clipping Path command on two objects (maybe more), and then lock the new object, it cannot be unlocked.  I saw this in version 2, now in version 3.  Is this a bug or is there some reason for this inconvenient feature?

    have you paid attention to unlock first the layer were the clipping masks are on?
    I work in design 1
    if the layer is locked were the clipping mask are on I first need to unlock the layer
