I KNOW how to do this, I have already done it, but I can't remember what I did!!! I want to blend one image smoothly into another. I know I need them both on seperate layers, and over them I place a grradient layer and play with its blending mode (I thought I remembered just setting it to eraser, but that isn't working.) I am sure I saw a tutorial linked to from this forum. If anyone knows the tutorial, or can tell me what I need to do to accomplish this, I'd love to hear it!

I wrote a tutorial on it but the images are missing. I'll go fix it and get back to you with the address. Should only take about 1/2 an hour.

Fantastic, Annie, thanks! I think that's actually the tutorial I followed to begin with and couldn't find again!! As soon as I get home I'll check it out.

    Hi Annie,

    Can I ask a quick question please/
Does it matter that the imatges over lap each other when applying the Gradient and Eraser blend?

I followed the tutorial, and added extra blending in the gradients,
but I can't seem to get rid of the split between two images? (edge og two images)

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

I can send teh .design file if it helps

    Thanks
    Paul

Bingo, thats it. I think the mistake i was making was putting the gradient on a third layer! Thanks again.
