I have VSTS 2008 SP1 installed and Expression Studio 3.  I have created a Silverlight 3 project.  Whenever I right-click on a .cs file in Expression Blend and select "Edit in Visual Studio," VS will open but not display anything, and an error dialog pops up in Blend with a message saying "Cannot edit in Visual Studio.  The method or operation is not implemented."

I have searched the intarwebs without success, nor can I find anything on here for this particular issue.  Any ideas?

    Hi,
This should work just fine...Can you please send us some more info?

    1. Do you have full installation of VS or custom?
    2. Can you create a WPF and Silverlight C# project in VS?

    Regards,

I think you are on to something here.  I can create WPF projects, but not Silverlight.  I do not have a full install, but none of the things I've deselected would have any logical connection to Silverlight (that I can see).  What I have is: Visual C# (with Office Tools) and Visual Web Developer.

    Hi,
Please try installing Silverlight 3 Tools for VS2008 SP1 and then you should be able to create Silverlight 3 applications in VS2008 SP1 and use "Edit in VS" from Blend.

Link to install Silverlight 3 tools is: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9442B0F2-7465-417A-88F3-5E7B5409E9DD&displaylang=en

    Hope this helps.
