TV monitor resolution can not be set XP SP3
- I have XP SP3 on PC and have for the past two years been using a Sony 40" LCD 1080P TV as my monitor with few problems. untillI suffered a complete crash and after a full reinstall settings no longer lists the TV as an optional monitor.I cant set the monitor to 1920 x 1080 any more it will only display in 1024 x 648 at 720P, and menus do not display properly, usually with the "OK"or next button out of view under the start bar. I have tried every available resolution setting with no success.When I first bought the TV I connected to the PC with HDMI and went to settings, the Model was listed for selection.The TV does not come with a driver.. Now there are no options in the settings list except "Plug and play monitor"Can you tell me how to repopulate the list of monitor options in settings please? Or just how to get the settings for Sony TV.Thanks

Forums Test Lead- go to the sony webist eand click on support then find the tv model and then downlaods, it will ahve a suitable driver for the os you are now uising also after ya get it burn it to CD n case this happens again
