...This may seem like a silly question but it has me confounded!  I am using Windows 7 but assume the "Welcome" screen functions the same way as in Vista or XP.  I only have one account but cannot seem to -- under one account -- have Windows automatically boot to my desktop; it always stops at the button without a logon password then on "Return" goes to the "Welcome" screen and then my desktop.  I have looked at the "Boot" and "Startup" in "msconfig" but cannot find a check-off.  This didn't use to happen to me in Vista or XP.  Your help on this would be appreciated.
